    Joel is the Founder and Managing Director of 1Five, a leading machine learning recruitment firm for seed-stage start-ups to publicly traded companies.

    Joel has advised and partnered with C-Suite executives at organizations ranging from $10M startups to $30B global enterprises, particularly on executive and AI science/engineer hiring across the USA and Europe.

    Joel trained in HR with the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD). He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a graduate diploma from Oxford Brookes University. Having worked in Europe, New York City, and Seattle, he now resides with his family in the tree-lined suburbs of Nashville.

    Michelle serves as a Senior Recruiter, specializing in sourcing top-tier MLE and AI talent and providing exceptional service to clients. She works closely with hiring managers to craft tailored recruitment strategies that ensure a seamless and engaging experience for both candidates and clients.

    With a strong foundation in full-cycle recruitment, Michelle excels at identifying and placing talent across IT, Cybersecurity, and the healthcare industries. She brings deep expertise in candidate screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and upholding compliance with employment regulations.

    Outside of work, Michelle enjoys playing volleyball and softball, nurturing her children's education through classical homeschooling, and unwinding with a good book or some crochet.

    Rebecca serves as an Associate Recruiter, specializing in sourcing top-tier talent for her clients' most pressing needs.

Rebecca leverages her interpersonal skills and organizational expertise to streamline the recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to successful onboarding.

    Outside of work, Rebecca keeps active with challenging workouts, explores new destinations with her husband, bakes sourdough, and loves the challenge of trying new board games.
